Founded in 1996, Madar has been a main shaper of taste In the Egyptian interiors scene, it was the first and only high end store catering to the Egyptian scene. In 2019, It was decided that the local craftsmanship and heritage was meant to be preserved, it was too precious to be left in the past and become a forgotten art: giving birth to MDR; the sister company to Madar that is designed, handcrafted  and styled by young aspiring Egyptian hands. MDR brings  European-quality products but made by Egyptians for Egyptians
